Job Summary
Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical systems and equipment across renewable energy projects, including cabling, terminations, and harness installations. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to plan installations per project specifications. Ensure all work meets safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations while maintaining accurate records and documentation. Complete testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment. Support and mentor junior electricians and apprentices by providing guidance and knowledge sharing. Maintain current licences, registrations, and certifications. Work across New Zealand projects, including potential FIFO assignments, with opportunities for career progression within AECNZ's renewable energy sector.
Required Qualifications
- Must have full working rights in New Zealand
- Trade Qualified Electrician with current EWRB registration and practicing licence
- Strong understanding of electrical safety requirements and industry regulations
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail, quality workmanship, and record keeping
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Ability to travel and work on projects throughout New Zealand, including potential FIFO assignments
- Full New Zealand Drivers Licence
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on renewable energy projects including Solar, Wind, Geo, BESS, or similar infrastructure projects
