Job Summary
Install, terminate, and test high-voltage and low-voltage cabling, transformers, and control equipment for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone transmission network. Read electrical drawings and schematics to complete cable glanding, pre-commissioning, and fault-finding activities alongside commissioning teams. Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, project specifications, and electrical safety legislation while maintaining a strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance. This remote project position operates on a 14 days on / 7 days off roster with bus transport provided from Sydney for NSW residents. Candidates must hold a current NSW Electrical Licence, Construction White Card, and relevant high-risk work licences. Join ACCIONA's Energy Hubs and Substations team to help deliver 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity connecting wind and solar projects.
Required Qualifications
- Current NSW Electrical Licence
- Current Construction White Card
- Current LVR/CPR certification
- High Risk Work Licence – EWP (over 11 meters)
- Current working at heights (within 2 years)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Current Driver's Licence
- Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor environments on a 14/7 roster
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience constructing high-voltage substations, switchyards, renewable energy projects or transmission infrastructure
