Job Summary
Electrical trades-person to maintain electrical and mechanical systems on trains across Journey Beyond's rail network, including The Ghan, Indian Pacific, Great Southern, Vintage Rail Journeys and The Overland. Responsibilities include ensuring safe operation of all electrical/mechanical systems, managing power generation units, conducting regular patrols and inspections, recording maintenance and repairs, submitting trip reports to management, and performing duties at Adelaide Parklands Terminal. Requires a current recognised trade qualification, safety certifications, and experience with electrical, air-conditioning and mechanical systems; strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Current and recognised electrical trade qualification
- Senior first aid certificate
- Safe working qualifications or willingness to obtain
- Experience across maintenance activities
- Knowledge of power generation, electrical, air-conditioning and mechanical systems
- Effective teamwork and communication to ensure safe operation and maintenance
