Job Summary
Install cable trays, ladder, baskets, and channel systems by reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, and assembling supports including Unistrut and wall brackets. Pull and route power, control, and low-voltage cables while performing conduit installation and electrical terminations. Ensure compliance with NEC requirements and work from elevations using lifts for tray systems at heights. This first-shift role in Claude, TX, supports a 12+ month data center project with up to $31/hour DOE and 50-60 hour weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Must provide standard electrical hand tools and PPE
- Must pass an onsite oral swab drug screen
- Must be an Electrician
- Must be available for first shift (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday)
- Must be able to work 50-60 hour work weeks
- Must be willing to travel to Amarillo, TX (approximately 27 miles from the project site)
- Must be able to read and interpret electrical blueprints and layout drawings
- Must be able to measure, cut, and assemble cable tray systems
- Must be able to install supports including Unistrut, trapeze systems, threaded rod, and wall brackets
- Must be able to pull and route power, control, and low-voltage cables
- Must be able to install conduit (EMT, Rigid, IMC)
- Must be able to perform electrical terminations, device installation, and fixture installation
- Must have knowledge of NEC requirements related to cable tray systems
- Must have experience working from elevations and layout specifications
- Must be able to install tray systems at heights using lifts
Desired Qualifications
- Data center construction experience
- Fiber optic cable installation and routing experience
- Medium-voltage cable pulling experience
- 2-4 years of cable tray bonding and grounding experience
- BIM/Navisworks coordination experience
- Cable tray modifications in live facilities experience
- Industrial electrical experience
- Experience operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, material lifts, laser levels, threaders/band saws, and cable tuggers
