Job Summary
Install, repair, and maintain all electrical equipment and systems for The Woodlands facility infrastructure, including emergency generators, substations, UPS systems, and fire alarm networks. Perform Infrared Thermography testing, maintain electrical parts inventories, and serve as the first responder to general electrical and fire-alarm problems. Assist in commissioning, diagnostic procedures, and implementing energy conservation measures while preparing drawings for system revisions. This role supports a 24/7 operations team on a 3rd shift (10 PM to 7 AM) with Sunday and Monday days off, requiring a current TX Journeyman or Maintenance Electrician License. The position is within Corporate Real Estate Operations, ensuring business continuity in a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in a maintenance role and or Electrician
- Must be able to work 3rd shift starting at 10PM-ending at 7AM with the days off of Sunday & Monday
- current state of TX Journeyman Electrician or Maintenance Electrician License
- thorough understanding of emergency generators and Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) as related to high-reliability, mission-critical environment
- working knowledge of physical plant safety programs
- demonstrate understanding of fire life safety procedures and requirements
- thorough understanding of NFPA 70, 70E and 70B
- 5 years of experience with operating and maintaining all aspects of power distribution including Medium voltage distribution systems, 13.8 kV synchronizing switchgear, dual-ended substations and UPS systems
- 2 years of experience working on fire alarm systems installations, or other low-voltage systems installations including structured cabling
- current state of TX Journeyman Electrician or Maintenance Electrician License for a minimum of 5 years
- Experience in mission-critical power systems in a Broadcast Technical environment
- Can troubleshoot and repair building-automation-system field cabinets, including communications equipment, printed circuit boards, power supplies, electrical/electronic controls, sensors, and transducers
