Job Summary
Industrial Electrician / Maintenance Electrician in a manufacturing facility responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure uninterrupted production. Reads blueprints and schematics, troubleshoots production machinery, tests systems with multimeters/megohmmeters, performs preventive maintenance, ensures compliance with NEC and safety procedures (LOTO/PPE), collaborates with engineers and maintenance staff, and maintains repair records. Requires 3–5 years in an industrial setting, proficiency with AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, control systems, and automation; high school diploma or GED and relevant certifications or license per location; willingness to work shifts/overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical certification or associate degree in electrical technology preferred
- State-issued Electrician License (Journeyman or Master Electrician) may be required depending on location
- Minimum 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing electrician experience
- Proficiency with AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, control systems, and industrial automation
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams
- Follow all plant safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements
