Job Summary
Electrician Technician (Power) responsible for electrical installation, repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment to ensure minimum downtime, with emphasis on compliance with EHS guidelines and continuous improvement. Key duties include attending to electrical equipment breakdowns (LV-MV motors, LV switchboards, MCCs, transformers, UPS, VFDs, breakers, soft starters), performing planned/preventive/predictive maintenance, diagnosing faults, ordering spare parts via SAP, ensuring safety and operational requirements, mentoring trainees, and contributing to 5S, Business Excellence and safety initiatives. Requires diploma and PEC training with 3+ years in heavy industry; strong English, maintenance tooling knowledge, and ability to read engineering drawings.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in relevant field
- Completion of PEC Craft Training
- 3 Years of relevant experience in a heavy industry after Diploma
- Experience in installation & troubleshooting
- Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings/manuals/instructions
- A good knowledge of written and spoken English
- Must be familiar with all maintenance tools and should have good IT knowledge
