Job Summary
Install, route, and terminate electrical wiring, cables, conduits, junction boxes, and control components on industrial equipment. Assemble, wire, and troubleshoot electrical control panels and enclosures per schematics and specifications. Interpret electrical drawings and blueprints; perform commissioning activities including I/O verification, startup support, testing, and troubleshooting. Diagnose and repair electrical systems, machine controls, production equipment, and facility components. Install conduit systems and conduct electrical testing to verify performance. Support equipment installations at customer locations; collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to resolve issues and improve reliability. Maintain safety, cleanliness, and quality standards; document work and testing results; provide mentorship to apprentices or junior team members as required.
Required Qualifications
- Holds a valid Ontario Industrial Electrician (442A) or Construction and Maintenance Electrician (309A) license
- Minimum of five years of post-certification experience in an industrial manufacturing or equipment-building environment
- Hands-on experience with machine wiring, industrial controls, and equipment troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of PLC, VFD, motor, and transformer wiring principles
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
- Holds a valid Ontario driver's license and is comfortable traveling to customer sites as required
