Job Summary
Electrician installs and repairs electrical systems and components of industrial machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include installing power supply wiring and conduit for machines such as robots and conveyors, connecting cables between machines, diagnosing malfunctioning components (transformers, motors, relays, switches), testing machinery and coordinating with maintenance staff, replacing faulty electrical components, planning layout of wiring and equipment, and driving between locations to fulfill duties.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in a relevant electrical field OR six months related electrical experience and/or training
- Driver’s License
- Clean driving record
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating, maintenance, and procedure manuals
- Knowledge of database software, internet software, and order processing systems
- Technical electrical skills and learning agility
- Problem solving
- Teamwork
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE
- Ability to meet physical requirements
