Electrician - Southern Divisions

Job Summary
Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and components for industrial machinery, including robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers. Diagnose malfunctioning equipment such as transformers and motors, then replace faulty components like relays and switches. Plan wiring layouts and connect power supply wires and conduits for new installations. Drive between locations to complete responsibilities while adhering to OSHA/MSHA safety policies. Requires an associate's degree or six months of related experience, a driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Work involves exposure to extreme weather, loud noise, and moving mechanical parts.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school in a relevant electrical field
- six months related electrical experience and/or training
- Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating, maintenance, and procedure manuals
- Knowledge of database software, internet software, and order processing systems
- Technical electrical skills
- Learning agility
- Problem solving
- Teamwork
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- One year related electrical experience and/or training
- Experience in manufacturing plants, especially asphalt or concrete
- Experience in surface mining
- Experience with heavy civil and/or road construction
- OSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certifications
