Job Summary
Experienced Electrician needed at Tessera to inspect, operate, and test industrial lighting equipment, diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions, replace lamps and ballasts, install/maintain grounding and lightning protection systems, perform lighting-relamping repairs, and conduct routine electrical maintenance per NEC. Duties include reading diagrams/blueprints, using digital inspection tools and infrared thermal imaging, operating lift equipment, and working from heights. Must distinguish wire colors, drive up to a 1-ton pickup/bucket truck, and wear PPE. Requires ability to read schematics/blueprints, work outside normal hours (back shift and weekends with notice), and obtain/maintain required Alaska licenses and security clearances. Additional qualifications include Alaska certificate of fitness, First Aid/CPR preferred, and willingness to travel/perform in varied environments.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of electrical experience required
- State of Alaska electrical license preferred (Journeyman level license preferred)
- State of Alaska electrical administrator license preferred
- Alaska certificate of fitness required
- First Aid/CPR Certification preferred
- Valid state driver’s license required with ability to obtain/maintain Tessera insurance
- Access to a federal military installation requires REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or acceptable alternative (passport or military ID)
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances and installation access
- Background check and E-Verify to be conducted
