Job Summary
Install, wire, and maintain electrical equipment and fixtures while diagnosing system problems and responding to emergencies. Develop, read, and interpret schematics and blueprints to prepare up-to-date electrical documentation and coordinate load analysis reviews. Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code and company standards by performing proper hook-ups, labeling power sources, and enforcing safety policies. Maintain tools, shop areas, and equipment in optimal condition while establishing a preventive maintenance program. Work on complex projects with minimal guidance, staying abreast of new electrical products and technology.
Required Qualifications
- Current license/certification as required by city and county
- Two to four years related experience or equivalent
- Expert knowledge of the National Electrical Code and electrical/wiring principles
- Familiarity with local building codes
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Acute attention to detail
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions
- Ability to perform the physical labor necessary
- Driver's License (Required)
