Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical aspects of equipment according to defined specifications. Install high/low voltage assemblies into mobile equipment, inspect for performance faults, and adjust or replace defective components. Identify additional repairs, compile parts and labor estimates, and communicate findings to supervisors. Test repaired equipment to ensure operational performance and complete accurate time records, technical reports, and failure reports. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives while staying current with industry best practices and technical developments. Requires a certified electrician license, 2–5 years of experience, and proficiency reading electrical diagrams.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Electrician license
- 2 to 5 years' experience
- Highly proficient reading of electrical diagrams
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve problems and perform electrical repairs on mining equipment
- Communication skills, both oral and written
- Computer skills (MS Office suite)
- Valid driver's license with reliable vehicle
- Must be able to work legally in Canada
