Prepare sketches or follow blueprints for concealed wiring, then connect wiring to boxes, motors, and control panels while installing distribution apparatus. Test amps, volts, and continuity using instruments to verify safety, and repair faulty equipment or systems as needed. Maintain a basic stock of electrical supplies to reduce site trips, observe installed systems for hazards, and assist in preparing material takeoffs for bids. Interact with customers, salespeople, and management regarding project status while following all safety procedures and wearing required protective gear.
