Electrician/Quality Control Manager

Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, install, and perform preventative maintenance on all electrical systems within facilities, the Central Utilities Plant, and related buildings. Ensure lighting is operational through regular checks, part replacement, and repairs. Maintain switchgear, distribution equipment, kitchen appliances, and large systems including pneumatic tubes, nurse call apparatus, emergency power, lighting controls, mass notification, and fire alarm systems. Create and maintain single-line drawings and distribution maps. Install wiring, switches, receptacles, and conduit in accordance with national electrical codes. Complete work order and preventative maintenance paperwork. Participate in monthly emergency generator testing and follow Lock Out Tag Out policies. Requires a current Texas Journeyman Electrician license, driver's license, and proficiency with architectural and electrical drawings.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman's license with both mechanical and electrical aptitudes
- current Texas Journeyman Electrician license

- ability to read and understand architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings
- ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- ability to read and understand manufacture's submittals and literature
- ability to specify, locate and order material and replacement parts
- ability to understand and implement national electrical codes, life safety codes and fully comply to NFPA 70E Arc Flash Protection
