Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of electrical crews on job sites while reviewing plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure proper execution. Monitor project progress, troubleshoot issues, and adjust as needed to meet deadlines, providing accurate job estimates from visual inspections or blueprints. Enforce compliance with all local and national electrical codes and safety standards, maintain detailed records for invoicing, and collaborate with project managers for smooth project flow. Mentor junior electricians, foster a safety-first culture, and meet with customers on-site to discuss project needs and updates. This role requires a licensed Journeyman Electrician with at least four years of residential construction wiring experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician license (State of Iowa)
- Minimum of 4 years of residential construction wiring experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in electrical supervision or a similar leadership role
- 4 years or more of residential electrical construction experience
- Strong understanding of local and national electrical codes
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficient in basic computer operations and software
- Ability to type 35+ words per minute
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Must pass a drug test and background check
- Clean driving record and valid drivers license
