Job Summary
Plan layouts, install wiring, electrical fixtures, and control equipment while adhering to specific procedures and frequent work checks. Measure, cut, bend, thread, and assemble conduit; pull wiring through conduit; splice wires; and connect wiring to lighting fixtures, power equipment, and grounding leads. Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels. Test circuit continuity to ensure compatibility and safety, observe installed equipment for hazards, and repair faulty systems as needed. This non-exempt role reports to the Foreman and requires NCCER certification for A-class Electricians. Working on or above 600V or 69kV systems requires specific qualification. Candidates must comply with job site safety requirements and pass post-offer screening. Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent
- One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
- Knowledge of electrician's tools and how to use them
- Working on or above 600V or 69kV industrial high voltage distribution systems requires qualification
- Most job sites require NCCER certification for A-class Electricians
- Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
- Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
