Electrician

Electrician responsible for installing, replacing, repairing, and maintaining hospital electrical equipment, motors, controls panels, relays, and switchgear. Reads blueprints/schematics and wiring diagrams to locate circuits; installs new or used equipment; performs housekeeping and keeps tools and areas organized. Requires ability to read specifications and perform time-managed tasks; communicates with team to bundle work orders and supports visitors, patients, staff, vendors, and coworkers with quality service. Maintains and inspects Emergency Power System; coordinates with electrical vendors; completes work orders, timesheets, and related paperwork; participates in training and cross-training to handle multiple tasks. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety procedures within healthcare facilities; familiar with parts sourcing and inventory control, and able to operate within PM systems and respond to drills and disasters.
