Job Summary
Electrician responsible for inspecting, repairing, replacing, installing, adjusting, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment 600V or less throughout facilities. Work from prints/diagrams/specifications for emergency and scheduled repairs, demolition, installation, testing, and inspection of electrical systems. Perform preventive maintenance, repair or replacement of electrical equipment on AC/DC systems; analyze, troubleshoot, modify, install, and repair electrical equipment and circuits using prints/diagrams/test instruments. Read blueprints and generate bill of materials; install conduit, wiring and electrical apparatus; read blueprints. Maintain records and reports on electrical systems and equipment for maintenance programs. Directs other repair personnel as assigned. Works in environments with industrial machinery/power tools; may require lifting >50 pounds with assistance; may include rotational shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays. Must possess Journeyman Electrical License and be a U.S. citizen able to obtain Top Secret clearance. This is designated as a safety sensitive position with drug-screen requirements due to federal contractor status. Night differential included in compensation. Compensation: $49.22/hour with Night Differential $3.50/hour. Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrical License
- High school, GED, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Security Clearance
- Four years maintenance and/or construction experience in electrical trade
- Willingness to work rotational shift including days, evenings, nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays
- Must read and understand written and oral instructions
- Ability to comprehend instructions
