Job Summary
Electrician with district-wide facilities responsibility: installs, maintains, and troubleshoots electrical systems including power circuits, lighting, conduits, and feeders; relocates lighting and receptacles; oversees standby generators; monitors fire detection systems and EMCS; conducts annual thermal scans and lighting surveys; coordinates with independent contractors and other maintenance staff; reads wiring diagrams; travels between district sites and may respond to emergencies; requires six years of journey-level experience, an apprenticeship, and WA licenses; position involves physical tasks, safety gear, and potential off-shift calls.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program as an electrician
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Washington State license as a nonresidential maintenance electrician
- Six years of increasingly responsible experience as a journey-level electrician
- Minimum of six years experience in maintenance of facility electrical systems (commercial or industrial)
- Minimum of four years experience in new construction as an electrician
