Job Summary
Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment to locate breakdowns and correct problems. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair while ensuring code compliance. Repair or replace wiring and equipment using hand and power tools, and assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, fixtures, and circuits. Test electrical system continuity and compatibility using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes. Requires 5 years of experience with high-voltage systems up to 480 volts, AC/DC drives, and PLCs in a manufacturing facility. Shift is 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 2-2-3 schedule. Competitive pay rate is $38.24 to $49.17 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of High-Voltage systems up to 480 Volt 3-phase power and 500 volt D-C, AC/DC Drives and PLC's in a manufacturing facility
- Electrical theory including basic ohms-law application
- wide range of technical and mechanical knowledge and skills
- basic mechanical skills with pneumatics and hydraulic systems
Desired Qualifications
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft windows operating environment for internet based work order system
- Troubleshooting skills with High-Voltage systems up to 480 Volt 3-phase and 500 volts D-C and Low-Voltage control circuits
- Test equipment operation including Digital multi-meters and Amp meters
- Schematic reading and basic electrical symbol identification, including ability to interpret specifications
