Job Summary
Electrician for a pork processing facility with 422A Industrial Electrician license, night shift (11pm-7:30am), in Ontario. Responsibilities include electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of high-voltage systems up to 600V, MCC electrical rooms, conveyors, pumps, packaging equipment, PLCs, conduit/wiring, PMs/PDMs/CMs, inventory control, and ensuring GMP compliance. Requires own tools, ability to work at height, pass PPE requirements, and valid G license for forklift/AWP operation. Compensation includes hourly rate of $44.25 plus a $2 overnight premium (total $46.25/hr during night shifts). Location cluster includes multiple Ontario sites with in-person work. Required Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Canadian License as an Electrician
- Minimum three years’ experience in the Food Industry an asset.
- Must be able to work at height with the proper PPE
- can lift and move objects with up to 40lb regularly
- work in confined spaces with the appropriate training
- Experience in operating mobile equipment such as Counterbalance forklifts and aerial platforms and must hold a valid G driving license
- Knowledge of MCC Electrical Power Supply, conveyors, industrial engines, pumps, grinders, welding equipment, lathes, power tools, fans, blowers, hydraulic systems and high speed packaging equipment
- Conduit/wiring installations
- Programmable logic controllers (PLC’s)
- Must have their own tools
- Must be fluent in the written and oral English language
- Must comply with all safety regulations
- 1200-600V high voltage experience
- Seaming experience
- Must have 422A Industrial License
- Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical switch gear, motors, drives, instrumentation, pumps and conveyor systems
- Follows GMP rules and GMP for Maintenance rules
- Carry out oral or printed work requests and apply corrective actions
- Perform PM/PDM and regular Work Orders
- Account for Inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance program
- Perform PMs, PDMs, CM and regular work orders on equipment
