Electrician

Mine Electrician responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in an underground mining environment. Tasks include testing lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits; interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints; performing electrical installations and repairs; operating mobile equipment (fork truck, crane, winch truck); ordering parts; painting and light carpentry as needed; assisting higher classifications and training lesser-skilled workers; adhering to GMP and FDA regulations; and working overtime as required. Requires 2–3 years of general shop/electrical experience and a qualified journeyman credential. Safety-focused, detail-oriented, capable of working both independently and as part of a team, and able to work in varied temperatures underground and above ground.
