Job Summary
Maintenance Electrician role focused on diagnosing and repairing electrical components, motors, motor controls, PLCs, and drives in metal production environments. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repair, preventive maintenance of conveyors and production machinery, installation of electrical systems per blueprints, adherence to safety standards including LOTO and OSHA, and maintaining documentation of repairs and system changes. Requires 5+ years of electrical maintenance experience, proficiency with 3-phase circuits and industrial control systems, 240v/480v experience, PLC troubleshooting, and familiarity with test equipment. Physical duties include lifting up to 50 pounds, working in industrial plants with variable noise and environment, and occasional on-call work; owning tools and the ability to work at elevated levels with scissor/boom lifts are required.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in electrical maintenance, installing sensors, switches, relays, and overloads
- Proficiency in 3-phase circuits, AC/DC motors, and industrial control systems
- 240v & 480v experience
- Ability to read and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- VFD & VSDA knowledge
- Familiarity with test equipment (multimeters, ohmmeters, infrared scanners)
- Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and drawings
- CNC, Press and Mechanical knowledge a plus
- Basic computer skills
- Must have own tools
- Ability to work at off ground/elevated levels in a Scissor Lift & Boom Lift
