Job Summary
Inspect, repair, and troubleshoot electrical circuits, lighting systems, and power distribution systems for theme park rides and attractions. Diagnose and replace damaged wires, cables, and faulty apparatus including transformers, motors, and relays. Install power supply wiring and conduit for new or relocated rides and building equipment. Operate tools such as torches, grinders, and multimeters to test and replace electronic components. Respond to emergency calls to maintain guest safety and comfort. Follow the National Electrical Code and OSHA regulations while maintaining extreme precision on complex tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Minimum of 2 years of electrical experience as a journeyman electrician
- Knowledge of circuits, voltages and amperes used for assigned work
- Follow National Electrical Code state and stays abreast of governmental, state and local regulations, including OSHA
- Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment
- Basic math skills
- Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints and maintenance and repair knowledge
- Requires a demonstrated flexibility to handle a wide range of highly complex and challenging duties throughout the theme park, with extreme care, focused attention and skillful precision
- Requires the ability to use a full range of measuring devices and power tools
