Job Summary
Medium Voltage Electrician supports installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of substation equipment in power grid facilities. Works with energized equipment initially up to 260 volts, progressing after training to higher voltages. Assists with basic electrical testing, reads basic electrical drawings and one-line diagrams, follows safety protocols including lockout/tagout and PPE, and collaborates with operators, engineers, and utility crews. Role involves hands-on tasks, equipment servicing, and documenting work; requires willingness to perform physically demanding duties, overtime, and travel to site-specific needs. ITAR considerations apply; requires compliance with SpaceX safety rules and ability to work in high-voltage environments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 3+ years of experience working as a licensed electrician.
