Job Summary
Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and install industrial manufacturing equipment and electrical systems. Perform maintenance and installation on electrical distribution systems, diagnose electrical issues in machinery, and rebuild electrical components. Inspect components like transformers and circuit breakers, while installing conduit and wiring according to specifications and safety codes. Conduct general maintenance and inspections to ensure operational efficiency, collaborating with maintenance and engineering teams to support production needs. Opportunities available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including weekend days, with consistent 40-hour schedules and overtime potential. Average starting wages range from $33-$37 per hour, plus a $5,000 sign-on/retention bonus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Ability to operate testing equipment and hand tools safely
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas: AC/DC Electrical Systems
- Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas: Electrical Control Wiring Systems
- Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas: Power Distribution Systems
- Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas: Electrical Motor Control
- Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas: Electro-Fluid Power Systems
- Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas: Electronic Sensors
- Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas: Basic Mechanical Drive Systems
- Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas: Occasional Welding
- Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas: Basic and Precision Measuring (electrical and mechanical)
- Knowledge and/or experience in the following areas: Shop Equipment (saws, grinders, presses, etc.)
- Knowledge of Medium Voltage systems, tools, and safety procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Technical training or aprenticeship
- Experience with industrial or manufacturing electrical work
- Skilled in conduit bending, wiring, and electrical troubleshooting
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs
- Medium voltage experience
- Knowledge of Medium Voltage systems, tools, and safety procedures; not required but is a plus
