Job Summary
Test electrical systems, inspect equipment for hazards, and troubleshoot PLCs, variable speed drives, and power distribution systems. Read schematics and blueprints to design, assemble, or install electrical equipment within the plant. Collaborate with vendors on parts recommendations and operate power lift equipment when necessary. Work outside scheduled hours and maintain housekeeping to support Mill Production continuity. Must have 3-5 years of industrial electrician experience, a valid driver's license, and proficiency with Allen-Bradley systems. Available for rotating shifts, weekends, and on-call support for 24/7 operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of verifiable work experience as an Electrician in an Industrial/Manufacturing environment
- Preferably in the Industrial Maintenance area
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to work rotating shift and Weekends
- Willingness to work outside scheduled hours as necessary for Mill Production to continue
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC5
- Experience with Allen-Bradley Studio 5000
- Experience with Allen-Bradley Panelviews and Panelview Plus
- Experience with Allen-Bradley Communications – RS232 & Ethernet
- Experience with Scanning and Optimization systems within the Lumber Manufacturing Business (Porter, USNR, etc.)
- Experience with Process Network Communication Systems and Components - Ethernet & Fiber Optic
