Job Summary
Electrician Journeyperson responsible for reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts; installing conduits and electrical conductor enclosures, pulling wire through conduits, and installing distribution/control equipment; installing data cabling and fibre optic/signalling systems; reading blueprints and ensuring compliance with codes and safety; supervising and training workers, planning layouts, and performing related duties across water and wastewater treatment plant projects in Ontario; requires heavy construction experience and a valid electrician license.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Electricians license
- Experience working in a heavy construction environment
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Hazardous location installation experience
- Experience with installation and troubleshooting of instrumentation
- Experience with 600V and 120V distribution installation and troubleshooting
- Experience working with rigid steel conduit, cable tray, high voltage systems, EMT conduit, motor controls
- Knowledge of safe operation of tools
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- Valid WHMIS, Elevated/Aerial Work Platform, Health and Safety Awareness Training for Workers and Working at Heights/Fall Arrest certificates are required
