Job Summary
Perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, generators, fire pumps, and fire alarm systems across the Cenovus Christina Lake South facility. Execute routine preventative maintenance, corrective repairs, and commissioning of VFDs, motor control systems, heat tracing, and building management systems. Maintain camp, office, and support facility electrical infrastructure while supporting lift stations, water treatment, and temporary power setups. Read and interpret technical drawings, establish SAP work order reviews, and collaborate with supervisors to ensure timely documentation and closures. Operate in remote industrial oil and gas environments requiring strict adherence to Alberta OHS regulations and site-specific safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Electrician Work
- Experience in oil & gas, SAGD, or industrial environments
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Valid Drivers Abstract - No more than 4 demerit points
- Valid Electricians journeyman Certificate
- H2S Alive training
- Fall Protection
- EWP
- CSTS 2020
- WHIMIS 2025
- Confined space monitor and entry
- Fire watch/spark watch
- Gas monitor training
- LOTO
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol, fit for work exam, Respiratory Fitness Test, Mask Fit Test
