Electrician Journeyman - Tonawanda

General Motors is seeking qualified Industrial Electrician Journeypersons responsible for layout, installation, repair and preventative maintenance of complex electrical equipment and circuits, troubleshooting and applying expertise to control systems. Key duties include following OSHA safety procedures, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment, diagnosing and correcting electrical malfunctions to prevent production delays, performing preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, reading and interpreting drawings and wiring schematics, contributing to continuous improvement, and collaborating with other departments. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, ability to work extended shifts with possible overtime, and eligibility to work in the United States. The position may be filled as Journeyperson or Journeyperson in Training; compensation ranges include hourly rates converted to annual values. Relocation is the applicant's responsibility.
