The Journeyman Electrician performs installation, maintenance, repair, or modification of electrical systems, circuits, and equipment in district facilities, with responsibilities including preventative maintenance, coordination of parts and tools, adherence to local/state/national codes, and responding to emergency calls (including potential night or varying shifts). Must maintain a current Journeyman license, complete annual code updates, follow safety regulations, and demonstrate knowledge of electrical codes and safe practices while working with equipment, wiring, load centers, and electrical controls.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED
- An acceptable four year apprenticeship electrical training program
- valid State of Texas Journeyman Electrician’s License
- Valid Texas Driver’s license
