Electrician - Journeyman Preferred

Electrician responsible for the design, plan, installation, modification, and repair of automated industrial control equipment. Installation, modification and repair of automated industrial control equipment; design, plan, install and maintain industrial control equipment and instrumentation such as loop controllers, variable frequency drives, solid state reduced voltage starters, level controls, ethernet motor control centers, belt scales, and control panels. Thorough understanding of electrical systems; troubleshoot mechanical equipment, PLCs and ladder diagrams, AC and DC circuits, electrical sensors and switches, motor controls and safety circuits. Install, troubleshoot and repair electric motors and equipment (120, 240 and 480V); read prints including mechanical and electrical prints. Complete preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled and document finished work; contact vendors to source replacement components. May drive a pick-up truck or maintenance vehicle in the plant and/or to pick up parts from local vendors. Strong machine electrical background; I/O knowledge; ability to read electrical schematics; computer skills in Windows environment; PPE and safety practices; strong communication skills.
