Job Summary
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, motors, control systems, and instrumentation throughout the granule manufacturing plant. Diagnose electrical failures using testing equipment and read schematics to correct issues while ensuring safe and reliable plant operations. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment, including MCCs, VFDs, and PLCs, and utilize the Maximo CMMS to maintain accurate records. Support production by responding to equipment breakdowns, minimizing downtime, and assisting with capital projects while adhering to MSHA, NFPA 70E, and LOTO safety protocols. Rotating shifts and overtime may be required. This role reports to the Electrical Supervisor at IKO's Bismarck, Missouri facility, contributing to a vertically integrated roofing materials operation.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent trade qualification
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
- Experience with electrical lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Strong knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, motors, controls, PLCs, and industrial automation
- Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnosing and testing PLC automated circuit, motors and motor control circuits
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Knowledge of relevant electrical safety codes
- Knowledge of various instrumentation sensors and transmitters
- Must be able to learn computer-based maintenance software
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to lead, guide, and mentor junior electricians
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple jobs with varying priorities
- Ability to work in a team setting with other tradesman
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work in a team setting with other tradesman
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in industrial environments including exposure to dust, noise, heat, and moving equipment
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces as required
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to learn computer-based maintenance software (Maximo knowledge is a plus)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to lead, guide, and mentor junior electricians

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, processing, or industrial plant operations
- Experience with electrical safety
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley AC Drives, ControlLogix PLC, Relay Logic skills is an asset
- Must be able to learn computer-based maintenance software (Maximo knowledge is a plus)
