Job Summary
Electrician at G1 Facility Services tasked with installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in a commercial environment in accordance with applicable codes and safety standards. Requires understanding of electrical theory, blueprints, and wiring diagrams, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities include wiring and testing AC/DC circuits, power distribution, fire/safety systems, HVAC components, VFDs, PLCs, motor controllers, lighting, and related controls; interpreting blueprints and schematics; performing preventive maintenance and managing work orders via CMMS; inspecting components like transformers and panels; diagnosing issues with testing tools; and adhering to NEC and safety requirements. Shift options include 6:00am–2:30pm and 2:00pm–10:30pm with days off to be determined. Location noted as Newark, NJ, US.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience in commercial or industrial facilities
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and applicable codes and standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Physically capable of performing duties in varied environments and at heights
- Valid US driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience
