Job Summary
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, fixtures, controls, and equipment up to 600 volts, including grounding systems and lighting protection. Modify and test circuits while pulling insulated wires through conduit and connecting components to circuit breakers and transformers. Use testing equipment like ohmmeters and voltmeters to verify connections and ensure safety, performing preventive maintenance to locate and correct problems before breakdowns. Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and the National Electric Code to plan routing and placement, advising management on equipment hazards. Work with engineers and technicians on climate control, security, and communications systems, making necessary repairs quickly to minimize inconvenience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Journeyman Electrician License or higher
- Four (4) years of interior electrical experience
- Two (2) years experience emphasized in industrial components repair and working with high voltage
- US or Permanent Citizen
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Air Force Base Operations and Civil Engineering
- Current CPR Certification
