Job Summary
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, apparatuses, and control components of stationary engines and mechanical devices including gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators. Diagnose electrical malfunctions in transformers, motors, and relays to take corrective measures with the Maintenance Manager. Install wire and conduit for new machines, terminate wiring between devices, and replace faulty components such as relays, switches, and motor bearings. Align, adjust, and calibrate devices according to specifications while maintaining records of repairs, calibrations, and tests. Read dials, digital displays, meters, and gauges to verify proper operation and perform preventative maintenance per technical manuals. Prepare legible work orders, advise on inventory needs, and comply with all plant safety, regulatory, and EHS procedures. Work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments with extensive domestic and international travel.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Associate Engineering Degree in Electrical Technology and/or 5 years of experience in Combined Cycle Power Plants / Petro-Chemical industries
- Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
- Travel extensively (internationally and domestically)

- Experienced level. Has successfully performed all requirements of the job multiple times.
- Possess strong skills and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of a particular field of specialization.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively to employees of the organization.
- Strong electrical / mechanical aptitude and experience utilizing hand held and power tools including standard meters, scopes, and electrical troubleshooting equipment.
- Experience in a hands-on electrical position in an industrial environment highly desired.
- Knowledge of electricity, electric motors, code a major plus.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
- In-depth safety training a major plus
