Job Summary
Electrician II responsible for planning and performing all electrical work for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery and facility electrical equipment (panelboards, transformers, lighting, etc.) across the Chicopee, MA site. Will utilize PLC software for troubleshooting manufacturing machinery, perform preventive maintenance, identify energy-saving initiatives, and suggest safety, PM, and process improvements. Install and maintain network wiring; ensure work complies with NFPA70E and MA Electrical Code; collaborate with production personnel, engineering, mechanics, and contractors. Use maintenance management system to document maintenance requests and track tasks; operate on ladders or lifts as needed; and perform testing on power and control circuits. This role supports a 24/7 operation and offers a competitive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Industrial experience
- MA Licensed Electrician – Class B (Journeyman) or Class A (Master)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered
- Ability to interpret electrical and technical diagrams and documents
- Ability to utilize various types of electrical testing instruments (power/control/calibration)
- Troubleshooting skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to communicate and work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
- Microsoft Office experience with emphasis on Outlook
- General Computer Skills required
- Ability to use the CMM system to document maintenance service requests
