Electrician I

Job Summary
Perform essential electrical installations and maintenance across Shady Grove manufacturing facilities; troubleshoot electrical problems across three-phase 480/12500 V distribution, single-phase feeders, and low-voltage DC control circuits; interpret electrical equipment such as motors, generators, transfer switches, transformers, switchgear, bus ducts and disconnects; ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NEMA; perform load calculations to size conductors, conduits, fuses, and circuit breakers per National Electric Code; follow OSHA and NFPA70E safety regulations; operate in a heavy manufacturing environment with varying locations and heights; maintain safety practices and PPE; requires high school diploma or GED (preferred) and valid driver’s license; 2 years of relevant experience preferred; reading schematics and operating manuals is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or equivalent
- Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder diagrams
- Knowledge of OSHA and NFPA70E safety regulations
- Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, and NEMA codes
- Ability to perform electrical load calculations
