Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures while adhering to codes and lock-out/tag-out procedures. Diagnose system malfunctions using test equipment to locate breakdowns and correct problems. Perform preventative maintenance, visual inspections, and modifications to ensure proper functioning. Inspect systems for hazards and defects, advise management on operational safety, and work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs. Train employees as needed. Work extended hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime as required by production needs.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
- State Electrician License
- Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime
- Must be able to work overtime as required
- Must be able to successfully complete training: Safety
- Must be able to successfully complete training: Safe Quality Food (SQF)
- Must be able to successfully complete training: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Must be able to successfully complete training: Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)
- Must be able to successfully complete training: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Must be able to successfully complete training: Food defense
- Must be able to successfully complete training: Lock out/Tag out
- Must be able to successfully complete training: OSHA 10-hour
- Must be able to successfully complete training: First aid
- Must be able to successfully complete training: Forklift
- Must be able to successfully complete training: Genie lift
Desired Qualifications
- Prior lead or management experience
- Diploma or GED
- College education
- Prior maintenance experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork or poultry facility
- Prior production experience
- Work history in the last 12 months
