Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair electrical and HVAC systems while assisting Electrician Technician II with equipment installs, repairs, piping, and duct fabrication. Collaborate with supervisors to understand Building Automation Systems controls and learn regulations and codes for school electrical and HVAC systems. Perform semi-skilled work involving the use of hand tools, measuring devices, and various equipment. This role involves heavy physical work requiring the exertion of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, including walking, lifting, climbing, and working in various inside and outside environments subject to weather changes and job hazards.

- Must be able to operate machines, motor vehicles, hand tools, and job specific equipment and tools
- Must be able to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of work
- Must be able to observe general surroundings and activities
- Must be able to hear sufficiently to accurately perceive information at normally spoken word levels
- Must be able to use communication by means of spoken word to express or exchange ideas
- Must be able to safely work in situations of exposure to blood borne pathogens which may require specialized personal protective equipment
