Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and systems across manufacturing, sales, and R&D sites. Read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose and troubleshoot circuits, identifying faults, hazards, and defects. Test and commission newly installed systems to verify safety and stability while carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to restore operations and ensure all systems comply with regulations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used. Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to support site safety, maintenance planning, and project activities.
Required Qualifications
- Completed a recognised Electrical or Engineering Apprenticeship
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services (C&G 2357/5357)
- Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2) certification
- Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of large industrial electrical plant and equipment
- Knowledge of industry-standard risk assessment methodologies, including HAZOP and FMEA
- Understanding of industrial process safety and manufacturing operational safety requirements, with the ability to apply relevant procedures and regulatory standards
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the country where the position is based
Desired Qualifications
- C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification (desirable)
- HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (desirable)
- CompEx certification (desirable)
