Job Summary
Plan layout, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures and control equipment such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, using hand tools and power tools, according to customer specifications as indicated on custom engineered designs and drawings. Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, bending, assembling and installing electrical conduit; pulling wire through conduit with an electrical helper; planning installations to minimize waste and ensure maintenance access; working from ladders, lifts, and roofs; testing circuit continuity for safety; coordinating projects and training helpers/apprentices; maintaining clean and safe work areas; and preparing buildings for shipment while adhering to electrical codes and OSHA procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- NEC Training
- Knowledge of OSHA procedures (Lockout Tagout)
- Ability to read electrical drawings
- Fork Lift operation
- Strong and clear communication skills
- Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, tape measure
- Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively
