Job Summary
Install, maintain, inspect, test, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components across marine, industrial, commercial, and workshop projects. Diagnose and fault-find electrical issues using appropriate diagnostic equipment while performing testing, verification, and commissioning activities. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to guide installation of cabling, switchboards, control systems, motors, and pumps. Complete planned preventative and corrective maintenance, strictly adhering to electrical isolation, lock-out/tag-out, and safe energisation procedures. Maintain service records, test sheets, and commissioning reports. Support project work, shutdowns, and breakdown responses while upholding high standards of safety, workmanship, and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820) or an equivalent Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification
- Current unrestricted Electrical Work Licence applicable to the Northern Territory
- Demonstrated experience in electrical installation, maintenance, testing, fault-finding, repairs and commissioning
- Experience working in industrial, commercial, marine, defence or similar environments
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety requirements, isolation procedures and lock-out/tag-out practices
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation
- Competency using electrical testing instruments and diagnostic equipment
- Current Construction White Card
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and professional workmanship
- Applicants must have full and legitimate rights to work in Australia

- Current First Aid, CPR and Low Voltage Rescue
- Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets
- EWP Licence
- Forklift, Dogging, Rigging or Crane tickets
- Previous experience working in marine or defence environments
- Experience using preventative maintenance systems and service reporting software
