Job Summary
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic system problems on production equipment, then execute feasible repairs. Install and repair electrical systems and electronic components of industrial machinery while reading blueprints and schematics. Utilize hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic test equipment to maintain setup and standard operating procedures. Apply knowledge of NEC, NFPA70E, PLCs, and variable frequency drives, adhering to safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout. Requires two years of related experience, strong electrical background, and ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted. All tools provided, with paid training and tuition reimbursement available.
Required Qualifications
- High school or technical diploma or equivalent practical experience
- Two (2) or more years of related experience
- Strong electrical background
- Sound computer skills
- PLC and variable frequency drive knowledge
- An understanding of NEC and NFPA70E
- Proven abilities in troubleshooting and repair of all aspects of machinery including mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Knowledge of setup, standard operating procedures and required maintenance for a variety of machinery and equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and/or schematics
- Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic test equipment
- Ability to use machine/equipment manuals and reference books
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Focus on Safety and familiarity with safe work practices, including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout and Alternate Protective Measures
- Ability to stand, bend, squat, lean, kneel, sit
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
