Job Summary
Oversee daily tasks of electricians and apprentices, ensuring adherence to project plans, safety regulations, and quality standards. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications to plan work sequences, material needs, and timelines. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trade foremen to align schedules and resolve inter-trade issues. Inspect completed installations for compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and other codes, while enforcing OSHA protocols and conducting hazard assessments. Order supplies, track deliveries, and manage inventory to prevent work stoppages. Guide and train junior electricians, share best practices, and maintain records of work progress, labor hours, and safety incidents. Troubleshoot electrical issues on-site and implement solutions to maintain system integrity and project timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as an Electrical General Foreman
- Location in the Texas City, Texas area
- Ability to lead a crew of electricians and apprentices
- Knowledge of electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair
- Ability to ensure work is done safely, efficiently, and in compliance with codes and specifications
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E codes
- Knowledge of OSHA and site-specific safety protocols
- Ability to conduct hazard assessments
- Ability to ensure proper PPE and lock-out/tag-out procedures
- Ability to order supplies, track deliveries, and manage inventory
- Ability to guide and train junior electricians
- Ability to share best practices and technical knowledge
- Ability to maintain records of work progress, labor hours, safety incidents, and material usage
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues on-site
