Job Summary
Electrician responsible for repairing and maintaining electronic equipment and electrical systems at a wood-processing manufacturing site. Duties include installing and repairing wiring, control and distribution apparatus (motors, relays, switches, thermocouples, thermostats, circuit-breaker panels), wiring for machines and facilities from diagrams/blueprints, testing circuit continuity, diagnosing and resolving electrical problems, and ensuring safety protocols (LOTO, confined space, PPE) are followed. Requires ability to read blueprints and diagrams, perform medium-to-heavy electrical work, and work 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am shifts with overtime as needed. Qualifications emphasize a high school diploma or equivalent (Industrial Electrical diploma preferred) and 2+ years of industrial controls experience.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience with industrial controls background preferred
- Demonstrable knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
- Experience reading and interpreting blue prints, wiring diagrams, and manuals
- Ability to pass required pre-employment examinations
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
