Job Summary
The Electrician - Facilities is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of airport electrical systems and equipment. Key duties include maintaining special airport lighting systems, performing high voltage repairs, inspecting electrical installations, and responding to emergencies. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, five years of relevant electrical experience, and necessary licensing. Knowledge of electrical theory, OSHA standards, and strong troubleshooting skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Kentucky Journeyman Electrician license
- Commercial Driver’s license – Class B (or ability to acquire Class B CDL within 6 months of hire)
- Maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance
Desired Qualifications
- 5 years experience in installation, repair and maintenance of major electrical control systems
- Ability to operate heavy equipment
- Computer-based technology skills including word processing and spreadsheets
- Ability to establish effective relationships with internal and external colleagues

- Must have the ability to drive on the ramp and Airfield Operating Area
