Job Summary
Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades on Level 2 EV chargers and DC Fast Chargers, including insulation testing, thermal imagery, and torque evaluations. Isolate ground faults and execute electrical and mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance while documenting all issues in the work order system. Collaborate with the Planning and Scheduling team to ensure work orders are completed accurately and on time. Work independently in the field under various conditions, including all elements, while wearing required PPE. Schedule consists of approximately 10-hour workdays with paid port-to-port travel. Base pay ranges from $23 to $40 USD.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Electrician (Journeyman level) from a relevant state
- 2+ years' equivalent experience in servicing electrical power equipment in the commercial or utility energy field and/or formal electrical training
- Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to generate, track, and complete site work requirements
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems independently with a high level of results orientation
- Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to safely perform job duties, interpret technical instructions, and communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Interpreter services are not available for this position
- Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision
- Must be able to work in the field under various conditions
- Must be able to work in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain & snow (depending on geographic region for the role)
- Working around high voltages and currents
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), always including a hard hat and safety glasses
- Typical schedule consists of approximately 10-hour workdays
- Paid port-to-port, including travel time between job sites
