Job Summary
Electrician - Environmental Operations responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and industrial systems for the airport's environmental operations. Focus on pumps, motors, valves, motor controls, power distribution equipment, soft starters, and associated control systems used to collect, convey, store, and treat spent aircraft deicing fluid. Performs preventative maintenance, diagnostics, testing, and repairs with electrical testing equipment; supports instrumentation and limited PLC equipment. Supports 24/7 operations via shift work and on-call responses; coordinates contractor activities and maintains records in CMMS. Requires Kentucky Journeyman Electrician License, CDL Class A/B (or ability to obtain), SIDA clearance, OSHA 30 or ability to obtain, strong knowledge of electrical theory, PLCs, instrumentation, motor controls, high voltage, and blueprints; capable of soldering and welding; able to read electrical schematics and work on field maintenance in an airport environment.
Required Qualifications
- Kentucky Journeyman Electrician License
- Commercial Driver’s License – Class A or B (or the ability to acquire a Class A within 6 months of the hire date)
- Maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance
- OSHA 30 hour Certification or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months
- Minimum Education: HSD/GED
